Book Review

 Mike and the Dog-Gone Labradoodle by Emlyn Chand is a great book that I think readers of The Maisy Files will enjoy.   The story focuses on Mike and his sister Maddie, as well as two of their friends, as they search for a missing dog.  It's a nice addition that the missing dog belongs to Mike's crush, Nicole Chang.

Throughout the story, the kids use nice deductive reasoning skills to try to locate the missing dog.  It's great that they don't stumble upon the answer to the mystery. They work it out themselves.  

The book presents themes of honesty and friendship.  This is the first book in the The Pet Shop Society series, and we get to see the formation of the club by the book's end.
